September’s gathering is in celebration of the Fall Equinox and the Harvest. We will gather September 21, 2019 from 9 am - noon on the West side of Madison. Come nourish your soul and creativity among Sisters!
We will gather together in my backyard shelter space open to Kettle Pond for a morning of Natural Wreath Making. We will begin the morning in gratitude for the abundance of the harvest, and together we will call in the Muse and create a space of radiant feminine creativity.
Choose from a beautiful array of dried fruits, leaves, flowers, cones, feathers and other natural materials to create an object of beauty that may adorn the entrance to your dwelling.
In closing we will infuse a collectively created wreath with our gratitude for the harvest and blessings and dreams for the women of our world.
This friendly environment fosters a feeling of safety, community, remembering, and belonging.
Being prepared for Women’s Circle:
Women’s Hand Making Circle is for those who identify as women. We want to offer this time to women as a deep respite and rejuvenation time. However, if childcare is difficult, we welcome your children and offer support to you in circle so that you can take time to create as you tend to your child’s needs.
Arrive as early as you like. Our property backs up to Kettle Pond Park. The water and birds will enjoy your company for an early morning stroll or meditation as set up preparations are being made.
Tea, Water, and light snacks will be provided for you. Please note any food allergies on your registration form.
We will work on the floor for the August session. Some seating mats will be provided. Chairs and TV trays are available if back support is needed. Please indicate on the registration form any accommodations needed so we can support your comfort.
Artistic skill and/or ability is NOT necessary. We will work with and alongside our inner critics. All that is needed is an open heart and mind and the willingness to take a leap and be caught in the creative web of sisterhood.
You will take all completed work with you. If you have any incomplete pieces you will be able to take any supplies needed to finish them away from group.
While the mosquitoes typically fade away as autumn approaches, recent years have bucked that trend. If needed, natural mosquito spray is preferred. In respect and connection to the insects and winged beings of this land, we ask that you refrain from spraying any DEET products on the property or at the pond. If the outdoor space cannot keep us comfortable we will meet inside the home.
If you are someone who is reading this with an interest in a Men’s Hand Making Circle, please email to begin that discussion.
